How To Apply

You are invited to apply for a position in our Family Medicine Residency Program. We participate solely through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Emailed or written applications will not be accepted.

We ask that your application materials include an official transcript, an ERAS common application form, Dean’s letter, three letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with your work in medical school or your current position, a recent photograph, and a personal statement stating why you have selected Family Medicine and why you are particularly interested in our program. If you are an International medical graduate, we would prefer some US medical experience.

US medical school graduates may contact their student affairs or other designated Dean’s office for manuals and instructions for accessing the Applicant Webstation. International Medical Graduates may contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for services at www.ecfmg.org.

J-1 visa is sponsored by our hospitals and may be offered in select cases.

Once completed ERAS applications are received, the Residency faculty will review and select those to be interviewed. All applicants will be notified via e-mail of the status of their applications. Selected candidates then contact the Medical education office to set an interview date.

Getting to know you

The interview is the most important aspect of the application process. We would like to know you beyond what transcripts, Dean's letters, and recommendations provide. The interview will allow you to understand our approach to teaching Family Medicine, and more importantly to find out if this approach meets your needs.
